CAS is seeking a Cheminformatics Scientist Intern for Summer 2027 in the Content Operations Division at our Columbus, Ohio headquarters. The internship runs May 17 to August 6, 2027.

You will join a cross-functional team to analyze chemical information and help develop an internal curation platform. The role targets candidates with chemistry and programming skills, a strong drive for innovation, and the ability to collaborate with chemists, biologists, and data scientists in an Agile

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in chemistry/cheminformatics/CS.
• Experience in Python and Java.
• Eager to adopt AI technologies to improve productivity and drive innovation in cheminformatics and software development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support back-end and front-end development efforts.
• Maintain detailed records and contribute to methodology documentation.
• Collaborate with chemists, biologists, and data scientists on projects.
• Assist in developing services and systems within an Agile team.
• Collaborate with local and global teammates and product owners on backlogs.
• Engage in Summer Intern Program to build professional relationships.
