Chemical Abstracts Service, a division of the American Chemical Society, seeks a Chemist Intern for Summer 2027 in our Columbus headquarters. Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a scientific field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or CS).
• Completion of at least one collegiate level chemistry course is required.
• Proficiency in Python is required.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication, teaming and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete an initial training assignment to learn data structures of commercial chemical information at CAS.
• Collaborate to develop and deliver process improvements for processing submitted data.
• Connect across the organization through the Summer Intern Program to build working relationships.
