Celanese is seeking a Unit Leader to oversee the Chemicals and Utilities area, delivering safe, reliable, and cost-efficient production. You will lead Operations and Technical teams, manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, and nurture talent to sustain long-term asset health.

The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across maintenance, quality, and engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
10 years of manufacturing experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, plastics, or similar process industry environment.
Proven leadership experience managing technical and operating teams.
Strong understanding of process operations, process safety, reliability, and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage teams, personnel, and resources to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient production.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Own unit performance through key operational and business metrics.
Develop, manage, and control annual operating and capital budgets.
Lead implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and HOP principles.
Optimize manufacturing technology to meet current needs and identify future opportunities.
Support turnarounds, capital projects, and productivity programs within Operations.
Coordinate resources across Operations, Projects, Maintenance, Quality, and Technical teams.
Coach and develop employees to build leadership pipeline.
Conduct routine field engagement and unit walk-throughs to identify issues and remove barriers.
