Refined Technologies, Inc. (Rizon) is seeking experienced Chemical Technicians in the greater Philadelphia area to support field services for our refinery clients. You will manage chemical applications, calibrate equipment, perform sampling, and ensure safety-first operations on site.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years refining or chemical plant experience, a HS diploma, and the ability to obtain a TWIC card. Travel is occasional and shifts may include weekends or on-call coverage.

We are seeking experienced and performance-driven Chemical Technicians (based in the greater Philadelphia area) to support the growth and execution excellence of Rizon's chemical services in the field. This role will serve as a technical advisor and performance advocate, ensuring that we deliver exceptional results that meet both internal standards and customer expectations. This role will manage chemical applications, calibrating equipment, and resolving customer challenges on site.

Requirements

Required

• 2+ years of refining or chemical plant experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong attention to detail and good record keeping habits
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on call, depending on site requirements.
• Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions
• Ability to obtain a TWIC Card

Preferred

• Associates degree or technical certification
• Knowledge of chemical dosing systems
• Lab experience

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• The Company requires a pre-employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the role.
• Duration of Workhours:
  • Typical, 8 continuous hours that may extend up to 10 - 12 hours if an emergent need exists
• Working Conditions:
• Uneven or unstable ground, and wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings.
• Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather.
• Routine, intermittent exposure to noise more than 85 dBA-TWA.
• Environments that may necessitate the use of respiratory protection for the shift duration
• Half-face, full-face, and / or supplied air
• Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required
• Quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required
• Physical Demands:
• Work at heights up to 150 ft/ 45 m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders, or critical lifts by cranes. This requires an ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue.
• Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., without assistance.
• Pushing / pulling up to 100 lbs., without assistance.
• Standing and walking for up to 8 to 12 hours daily. May exceed 10,000 to 15,000 steps per day.
• Bending and stooping repeatedly and performing tasks including twisting or turning valves and using wrenches and hand tools.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

• The position will be based at a client site with travel (approximately 10%) for training and internal meeting purposes.
