Job description

We are currently growing our team of Artisans with an Account Manager, Rizon – A Refined Technologies Company. This role will be based out of the Philadelphia area. This role is responsible for a semi‑dedicated customer to ensure treatment chemicals and equipment are used effectively, economically, and safely in refineries, petrochemical facilities, and terminals while exemplifying RTI’s mission and core behaviors.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage chemical programs to maximize the safety, reliability, and profitability of our customers’ assets.
    • Implement performance‑management tools, set targets, and monitor the contingency plan for each application.
    • Conduct routine service visits and lab/field testing as outlined in the customer contract to ensure KPIs are met, generate service reports, and maintain inventory records.
    • Assist with technical issues and make improvements in products, processes, and procedures.
    • Oversee account representatives and service technicians.
    • Coordinate with supply chain on the order and delivery of chemicals to maintain adequate on‑site inventory levels.
  • Develop relationships and regularly interface with clients’ maintenance, operations, engineering, and turnaround teams.
  • Utilize digital tools such as Rizon App, iView, or other digital tools to effectively communicate and train refining companies.
  • Host quarterly business‑review meetings with key stakeholders to review safety performance, value‑add projects, KPIs, and financials.
    • Generate data analysis on program performance.
    • Identify value‑added growth opportunities.
  • Maintain the quality of Rizon‑owned equipment.
  • Coordinate with Regional Business Director for:
    • Chemistry selection
    • Service requirements
    • Presentations
  • Review and approve team vacation requests, expense reports, stipends, etc.
    • Challenge team with new responsibilities and continuing education.
    • Serve as a lead for training.
  • Evaluate safety performance of direct reports regularly.
  • Ensure that effective JSAs are completed and reviewed.
  • Provide onsite safety liaison for projects in his/her control.
  • Complete incident reports and participate in cause findings and corrective action.
  • Communicate weekly and incidental safety briefs with direct reports.
  • Communicate all safety notifications upward and downward through the organization.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years of process engineering or operations experience at a refinery or chemical plant.
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiar with operations of refineries or chemical plants.
  • Confidently lead a team.
  • Become familiar with RTI technologies.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Efficiently and effectively handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Be comfortable meeting with client leadership.
  • Perform field service/lab testing.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The Company requires passing a pre‑employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the position.

Duration of Workhours
  • Typically, 9‑hour workdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (including 1 hour for lunch) that may extend up to 12+ hours if an emergency need exists.
  • As needed based on contract scope, but normally 5 days on‑site per week (Monday‑Friday).
  • Weekend coverage as needed.
  • Night shift as needed.
Working Conditions
  • Uneven or unstable ground, wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings.
  • Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather.
  • Routine, intermittent exposure to noise greater than 85 dBA‑TWA.
  • Environments that may necessitate the use of respiratory protection.
  • Medical clearance to use respiratory protection is required.
  • Quantitative fit testing for specific respiratory protection is required.
Physical Demands
  • Work at heights up to 150 ft / 45 m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders, or critical lifts by cranes; ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
  • Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. without assistance.
  • Standing and walking for up to 12‑16 hours daily with minimal rest breaks; may exceed 10 000 to 15 000 steps per day.
  • Bending and stooping repeatedly and performing tasks including twisting or turning valves and using wrenches and hand tools.
Travel Requirements

Ability to travel to assigned customer account.
