Job summary

Coreshell Technologies in San Leandro, CA, is seeking a Chemical Technician to support scientists and engineers by synthesizing and characterizing new battery materials and thin-film coatings. You will follow SOPs, keep weekly data records, and contribute to safe, accurate laboratory work under the supervision of the Senior Process Engineer.

The role requires a B.S. in a chemistry-related field with 2+ years of industrial lab experience, ability to handle chemicals safely and move equipment up

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent with 2+ years industrial experience.
• Experience with laboratory work (wet chemistry preferred).
• Chemistry courses with laboratory component completed.
• Some experience with material characterization preferred.
• Able to safely handle chemicals and work in a laboratory.
• Able to move equipment up to 20 kg.
• Interested in science/tech and clean energy.

Position: Chemical Technician

Reports To: Senior Process Engineer

Our low-cost liquid-phase nano-coating addresses critical electrode-surface degradation issues and enables batteries with a Silicon-dominant anode that have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost/kWh compared to current LIBs. Requirements

• B.S. degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science OR experience in a similarly relevant field with 2+ years of industrial experience.
• Previous experience with laboratory work (wet chemistry preferred).
• Completed Chemistry-related courses with laboratory component.
• Some previous experience on material characterization is preferred but not essential.
• Able to safely handle chemicals and safely work in a laboratory setting.
• Able to safely move equipment up to 20 kg.
• Interested in a career in science & technology and passionate about the clean energy space.

Location & Benefits

San Leandro, CA. Full-time. Hourly rate is $26.00 - $35.00 per hour with additional stock incentives dependent on experience. Dental, vision, healthcare and 401(k) benefits are included. Applications will be screened as received.
