Job summary

Solenis is seeking a hands-on Chemical Support Engineer to support customers via technical service, equipment support, maintenance, and field-based troubleshooting across sites in California. You’ll partner with sales and customers to ensure product performance and deliver value.

Role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, strong problem-solving, and willingness to travel to customer sites. Competitive compensation, relocation assistance, and company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Paper Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience supporting industrial manufacturing, pulp & paper, water treatment, chemical processing or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for assigned customer accounts and support ongoing business relationships.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical expertise to customers and internal sales teams.
• Install, commission, and demonstrate chemical treatment programs, equipment, and monitoring systems at customer facilities.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and reporting to evaluate program performance and results.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure reliable operation.
• Support customer trials through on-site coverage, equipment setup, performance testing, sampling, and data collection.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, operational, and chemical application issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with sales to develop customized chemical and equipment solutions for customers.
• Assist with technical proposals, project documentation, presentations and bid support.
• Identify opportunities for product expansion, service improvements, and additional business within existing accounts.
• Build strong relationships with customer production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate service reports, testing records, and customer documentation.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to better support customers.

We're seeking a Chemical Support Engineer to support existing customers through a combination of technical service, equipment support, preventative maintenance, and field-based troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with pumps, dosing systems, instrumentation, process equipment, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to learn and apply technical chemical treatment programs and process technologies.
• Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret operational data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple customer priorities and site responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical reporting systems.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites within the territory.
