Job summary

LANXESS in Goose Creek, SC is seeking an entry-level to mid-level process operator to support production of a new product for global customers. In this role you will operate chemical processing equipment, monitor processes and keep accurate records. You will maintain clean and safe work areas, prepare equipment for repairs, perform raw material and in-process lab procedures, and collaborate with Self-Directed Work Teams to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in an industrial environment.
• Chemical Plant experience or training is preferred.
• Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical processing equipment and handling/processing equipment.
• Monitor equipment and maintain records.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; perform regular safety inspections.
• Prepare equipment for repairs.
• Perform raw material and in-process laboratory procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Self-Directed Work Teams.
