LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Director of Procurement for a full time position in Columbus, Ohio. The Director of Procurement will be responsible for developing and guide the sourcing and purchasing strategy in accordance with business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Chemical industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage mixed strategic purchasing program balancing cost, risk, economic conditions, delivery, etc to meet business goal.
• Negotiate with existing and potentially source new vendors.
• Manage, review, and implement new data analytics.
• Lead and mentor team of buyers and supply chain professionals
• Authorizes payment for purchases maintaining appropriate paperwork.
• Work with Operations and Customer Service representatives on supplier issues
• Proactive monitoring of current market trends
• Verify purchases orders comparing to delivered items
• Work to improve on time and on budget delivery
• Assist with quality assurance

Qualifications

• 5 plus years of Supply Chain Leadership experience and 3 plus years’ experience in the Chemical Industry
• Proven negotiator with proven ability to reduce price year over year.
• Strategic Supply Chain Professional with experience

Employment Type: Full-time On-Site role

Hours: Monday through Friday

Salary: 120,000 to 140,000 based on experience
