Job summary

SRE Engineering is seeking a Chemical Process Safety Management/Risk Management Program (PSM/RMP) Manager for an upcoming NYC DEP infrastructure project. The role focuses on leading safety compliance, risk mitigation across construction, start-up, and close-out while ensuring clear PSM/RMP requirements in contract language.

The position requires translating PSM/RMP requirements into field procedures, coordinating with the EHS Officer and Construction Manager, and occasional site travel to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience with Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program requirements on water/wastewater or industrial sites; DEP preferred.
• Working knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and exposure controls in a construction environment.
• Ability to translate PSM/RMP requirements into clear contract language and field procedures.
• Reliable personal vehicle required, as this role requires site travel.

• Prepare contract documents that clearly define PSM and RMP requirements for the project.
• Manage and mitigate chemical exposure risks to operational, managerial, and construction staff, as well as the public, throughout construction, start-up, and close-out.
• Keep PSM and RMP requirements current and updated as needed for the duration of the contract.
• Coordinate with the EHS Officer and Construction Manager on chemical safety protocols specific to the site.
