Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to troubleshoot and optimize processes across Brenntag facilities, covering design, safety, and quality improvements. This role supports project work, regulatory compliance, and external technical support for the commercial group.

Responsibilities include managing projects within budget, reviewing SOPs, and coordinating with QHSE. A BS in Engineering and 2 years in chemical manufacturing are required; TWIC and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of chemical manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, sketches, and drawings.
• TWIC card eligibility and pass background/drug tests.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day process support and optimization across facilities.
• Manage active projects with adherence to CAPEX budget, planning, and ROI verification.
• Review operating procedures to ensure standards, safety, and operation efficiency.
• Audit manufacturing, blending, and distribution processes to Brenntag standards.
• Serve as technical resource for outside sources (sales, customers) as needed.
• Assist with safety, compliance, and regulatory needs for Brenntag facilities.
