Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Process / Production Engineer for a global chemical client to support plant unit operations, drive continuous improvements, and ensure compliance with EHS/PSM regulations.

You will contribute to troubleshooting, mass balances, and cross-functional projects, collaborating with operations and quality teams to optimize safety, reliability, and productivity.

Qualifications

• BS Chemical Engineering degree with 3+ years experience as Process / Production Engineer/ Leader in PSM/ chemical operating plants.
• Preferred experience with Lean/ Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, PHA, MOC, P&IDs
• Familiar with process unit operations and Controls; reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, heat treatment.
• Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Involved in day to day production support for batch/continuous chemical operations including troubleshooting and problem solving of process/equipment issues.
• Track Production Yields and Perform Mass Balances
• Handle process improvement projects.
• Manages continuous improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability and cost.
• Support process downtime and runtime.
• Involved with production and material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
• Participate in PSM initiatives and audits.
• Implement change management processes including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, SQC.
• Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions (safety, quality, production, reliability, etc.)
• Assist with Training of Operations Teams.
