Top Echelon Software, LLC is representing a global chemical client in search of a Process / Production Engineer to support plant unit operations, drive continuous improvements, manage startups, and ensure compliance with EHS/PSM regulations.

The role covers day-to-day production support, troubleshooting, yields tracking, mass balances, and leading safety, quality, reliability initiatives while coordinating training for operations teams.

Qualifications

• BS Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in process/production engineering in PSM-capable plants.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, continuous improvement, PHA, MOC, and P&IDs.
• Familiar with reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, extrusion, and heat treatment.
• US work authorization without sponsorship (now or in the future).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support for batch/continuous chemical operations.
• Troubleshoot process/equipment issues and drive problem solving.
• Track yields and perform mass balances.
• Lead process improvement projects to boost safety, productivity, quality, and reliability.
• Support downtime, runtime optimization, and material planning.
• Participate in PSM initiatives and audits.
• Implement change management including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, and SOPs.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Assist with training Operations Teams.

Job description

Our global chemical client is expanding their Chemical Process Team. This Process / Production Engineering role will have responsibility supporting plant unit operations, continuous improvements, process/ product startups, and all EHS/ PSM regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• --- Involved in day to day production support for the batch/ continuous chemical operations including troubleshooting and problem solving of process / equipment issues.
• --- Track Production Yields and Perform Mass Balances
• --- Handle process improvement projects.
• --- Manages continuous improvements in safety, productivity, quality, reliability and cost.
• --- Support process downtime and runtime.
• --- Involved with production and material planning, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
• --- Participate in PSM initiatives and audits.
• --- Implement change management processes including MOC, PSSR, P&ID, hazard reviews, SOPs, SPC, SQC.
• --- Lead incident investigations and problem-solving sessions (safety, quality, production, reliability, etc.)
• --- Assist with Training of Operations Teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• --- BS Chemical Engineering degree with 3+ years experience as Process / Production Engineer/ Leader in PSM/ chemical operating plants.
• --- Preferred experience with Lean/ Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, PHA, MOC, P&IDs
• --- Familiar with process unit operations and Controls; reactors, distillation, polymerization, esterification, filtration, dryers, twin-screw extrusion, heat treatment.
• --- Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
