Job summary

Thatcher Chemical in the United States is seeking a Plant Operator to manage production, blending, loading and unloading of plant chemicals. The role requires operating all plant processes safely and efficiently on the Graves Shift (Sat-Mon 5:00PM-5:00AM; Tue 5:00PM-11:00PM).

You'll handle tanks, pumps, forklifts and maintenance tasks while keeping a clean, safe work environment. Prior manufacturing experience and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are preferred; safety and reliability are

Qualifications

• Desire and ability to promote safety in the workplace.
• Be quality conscious and attentive to detail.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Stable work history; 2–3 years preferred.
• Willing to undergo background screening.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well for safety and operation.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Capable of working in extreme temperatures and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work varying hours or shifts.
• Experience in manufacturing with tools/equipment preferred.
• PPE compliance (gloves, boots, glasses, hard hat).

Responsibilities

• Produce and mix chemicals as needed.
• Understand and operate plant equipment and processes.
• Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and containers.
• Regularly lift 75 pounds.
• Operate pumps, mixers, and blenders.
• Operate forklift.
• Keep work area clean.
• Light maintenance.
