NewMarket Corporation in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Chemical Plant and Systems Operator to control or operate an entire chemical process or system of machines. You will move control settings, monitor instruments and indicators, record operating data and test results, and collaborate with technical staff to ensure safety, efficiency and product quality.

Strong problem-solving and adherence to BMPs are essential.

Formación

• 3+ years operations experience in a plant/manufacturing environment OR
• Associates Degree in Process Technology

Responsabilidades

• Move control settings to adjust equipment speeds and production yields
• Monitor recording instruments, flowmeters, panel lights, and other indicators, and listen for warning signals, to verify conformity of process conditions
• Record operating data and test results
• Regulate or shut down equipment during emergencies as directed
• Start pumps and regulate flows of oils, steam, air, and other substances
• Inspect equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
• Maintain a written log of shift activities and load/unload operations
