Job summary

Amyris, Inc. in Leland, NC is seeking a Chemical Operator to handle materials and operate equipment in a chemical processing plant. You will monitor production, follow processing instructions, and maintain safety and quality in every batch.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 2+ years in chemical processing. Candidates must be onsite in Leland, NC with a rotating 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in chemistry or engineering is preferred.
• Experience in chemical processing/manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a safe work environment by participating in safety programs and audits.
• Follow GMP guidelines for cosmetics ingredients and processing instructions.
• Document data, report variances, and maintain process records.
• Load/unload materials and operate reactors, pumps, and centrifuges.
• Monitor reactions and wear appropriate PPE; notify supervisors of deviations.
• Work twelve-hour rotating shifts (day/night).
