Job summary

Cabot Corporation seeks a safety-minded professional to operate chemical process systems and related equipment. You will monitor processes, perform maintenance, and document conditions using Cabot’s systems, ensuring quality and compliance with safety programs.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to rotating 12-hour shifts, with overtime as needed. A high school diploma is the baseline; technical degrees and experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A degree or certificate in Chemical Process Technology is preferred.
• Associate degree in a related field or the military equivalency including ETA school would be a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Able to work independently as well.
• Self-motivated with a track record of dependability including work history.
• A proven positive safety, health, and environmental record.
• Familiar with PPE, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hot work, and emergency response.
• Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, process control, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical process systems and related equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot the process to maintain operating conditions.
• Assist in loading product for shipment and unloading materials.
• Perform general and preventive maintenance on process equipment.
• Enter work orders and document work performed using the business system.
• Document equipment condition to identify trends and issues.
• Conduct quality control testing following Cabot methods.
• Utilize SPC to monitor process quality.
• Comply with Cabot safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and overtime as required.
• Alternate between day/night shifts every 2 weeks.
