Job summary

Jacobs in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Process/Chemical Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Facilities team. You will support project coordination, learn process design, and gain exposure to PFDs, P&IDs and equipment specifications while mentored by engineers and designers.

You will develop flow diagrams, perform sizing calculations, and model complex processes using PipeFlo, AFT Fathom, Bluebeam and SmartPlant.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Must be at least a rising Junior (currently completing Sophomore year).
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Previous relevant internship or project experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop flow diagrams and perform sizing calculations for pipe and equipment.
• Develop process specifications and contribute to PFDs and P&IDs.
• Assist with equipment specifications and project coordination under mentorship.
• Model complex processes and ensure designs meet codes and customer requirements.
