Job summary

Jacobs Life Sciences North America is seeking Process Engineering Interns in a hybrid role. You will be paired with a process engineer mentor and contribute to deliverables like PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment data sheets.

The program includes a dedicated Process Training Program with sessions, libraries of recordings, and presentations to the Cary management team, preparing you for engineering careers in biopharma facilities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• 3.0 GPA or higher preferred.
• Previous design internship experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management; time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to read, understand and develop deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
• Develop Equipment Lists and Equipment Data Sheets under mentorship.
• Participate in Jacobs Life Sciences North America Process Training Program and intern activities.
