Job summary

H.B. Fuller Company is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer in Houston, TX to design, optimize, troubleshoot, and improve chemical manufacturing processes for safe, efficient operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and Production to enhance yield, throughput, and cost effectiveness. Minimum 3–5 years in chemical manufacturing plus a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, refining, petrochemical, or related process environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.
• Analyze process performance and implement improvements to increase throughput, yield, and production capacity.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting process upsets and equipment issues.
• Develop and maintain process documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, procedures, calculations).
• Support process scale-up, new product introductions, and technology transfer.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects targeting waste reduction, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including PHA, HAZOP, and MOC processes.
• Collaborate with Quality to investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage capital and process improvement projects from scope to commissioning.
