Job summary

Arkema Birdsboro site is seeking a Chemical Engineer to act as the authoritative knowledge leader for projects, applying polyamide technology to drive process improvements and solving complex problems. You will own process improvements, support training, and coordinate cross-functional efforts across the site and corporate groups.

You will lead process safety activities, manage plant DCS/PLC programs, and provide troubleshooting support and data-driven analysis using DMAIC methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of process engineering experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering; other engineering degrees considered with chemical manufacturing experience.
• Thorough understanding of polyamide technology.
• Working knowledge of process control logic.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills.
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plant process ownership including support, development, improvements, troubleshooting and training.
• Lead process safety activities and hazard analyses.
• Manage and maintain plant DCS and PLC programs and configurations.
• Provide root cause analysis and drive DMAIC-based improvements.
• Collaborate across site and with corporate groups to support projects.
• Provide engineering knowledge and support to all personnel and functions.
