Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering; internship or co-op experience encouraged.
• 0–5 years of process engineering, process development, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong fundamentals: mass and energy balances, unit operations, and basic process economics.
• Excellent communication to work with operators and a customer VP.
• Willingness to be on call nights and weekends for the assigned process.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of an assigned process, including batch tracking and day-to-day execution.
• Translate customer technology transfer packages into plant-scale processes across lab to pilot plant stages.
• Collaborate with operators, maintenance, and production on live process issues and usable procedures.
• Develop draft block flow diagrams, mass/energy balances, and material specifications.
• Build cost models for new processes and assess profitability before production.
• Support Process Safety Management activities, hazard reviews, CPI practices, and regulatory work including PMN submissions.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers from floor operators to customer leadership.
