Job summary

Nederman is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to apply Thermal Separations and Granulation technologies, support specialty equipment sales, and run feasibility studies. You will design systems, cost proposals, and assist with field service and start-ups to drive customer success.

Qualifications

• B.S. Chemical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of MS Office and Excel required.
• Proficiency in heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and controls.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings (PFDs, PIDs, GAs)
• Strong written and communication skills; skilled in presentations.
• Process Simulation Software (ASPEN), AutoCAD, OSHA & EPA, safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Test Center demonstrations and laboratory evaluations, as a precursor to sales, on client material incorporating LCI’s technology and experience.
• Design systems for specific product applications based on analysis of the test results and customer data.
• Estimate cost of proposed systems and prepare proposals. Writing proposals including costing jobs and maintaining pricing levels to maximize LCI’s competitiveness and profit margins.
• Travel to customer sites to discuss potential applications, help set strategy, and present seminars covering LCI technologies.
• Domestic and international travel for start-ups of leased and purchased equipment.
• Inspect equipment during and after fabrication and assembly to ensure they meet the client’s requirements and expectations.
