Placements24 is seeking a proactive Chemical Engineer to provide production support in Upington, Northern Cape. You will troubleshoot operations, optimize process parameters, and implement improvements to increase yield, quality, and safety.

You will collaborate with operators and maintenance teams, develop SOPs, participate in PHAs, and ensure compliance with SHE regulations while driving continuous improvement in our chemical manufacturing processes.

Formación

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize chemical processes.
• Experience in production support or process engineering in chemical industry.
• Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass balance.

Responsabilidades

• Provide immediate technical support to the production team to resolve operational issues and minimize downtime.
• Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for optimization to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Analyze process data to troubleshoot deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and integrity.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and new technologies.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) regulations and company policies.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments.
• Train operators and technicians on process changes and best practices.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
