Job summary

ICL Group is seeking a Utility Operator in the Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia area. You will apprentice under qualified operators to perform non-technical duties in chemical processing, equipment cleaning, housekeeping, and lab analysis.

You must complete a 90-day probation, understand basic chemistry concepts, and be able to read blueprints and perform math for operator tasks. Shift work including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Probationary period of 90 days after hire.
• Internal candidates may require 120 days evaluation and test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist operating personnel as directed by Shift or Shipping Supervisor.
• Adhere to plant safety and regulatory policies.
• Complete a 90-day evaluation and required tests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety and regulatory policy.
• Understand basic chemistry concepts including phosphorus.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and symbols.
• Use math in operator tasks and perform required measurements.
• Know plant layout and equipment locations.
• Support Site Production Plan, Site Shipping Plan and ISO efforts.
• Perform Lab Aide duties during absences.
