Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit in Henry, IL seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment at a chemical plant. You will perform access control, patrols, and enforce site regulations during 1PM–9PM, Monday through Friday, safeguarding personnel and property.

You’ll deliver customer service to employees and guests, report safety issues, and use security tech with calm judgment. Requires HS diploma or GED, reliability, and valid driver certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer/tech skills.
• Security, law enforcement or military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Stay calm and professional during stress.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance.
• Professional demeanor and emergency response capability.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.
• Driver certification.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain access control across client sites.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Follow post orders and complete assigned rounds.
• Provide customer service to employees and guests.
• Operate technology devices during shift.
• Conduct lengthy foot patrols in various weather conditions.
• Perform truck gate access control.
• Data entry tasks.
• Carry out other duties as required for the site.
