Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. a long‑standing chemical formulator and producer in the Central United States, seeks a Chemical Operator in Minnesota to operate production equipment and manage processes safely. The role requires at least 6 months of related experience, forklift capability, and clear communication for complex procedures.

The job offers comprehensive benefits and a structured 10:00am–6:00pm shift. Compensation is $35.28 per hour with standard benefits, paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a chemical operator or equivalent experience.
• Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift required.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate and understand (both written and verbal) complex and/or technical operations and procedures.
• Basic computer skills; prior MRP/ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, handle, and maintain production equipment safely while achieving production and quality standards.
• Know the equipment and process operation; handle, store, transfer, and transport chemical material; operate, monitor.
• Control continuous and batch processes; manual and automated operation per SOPs.
• Complete required paperwork including process data, test results, inventory, and reports.
• Provide routine minor maintenance to process equipment and instrumentation.
• Adhere to product quality and safety standards and report incidents to supervision.
