Job summary

ChampionX in Odessa, TX seeks an Assistant Plant Operator to join its chemical manufacturing operations. You will blend, react, package, and transfer finished products, operate pumps and packaging equipment, and perform forklift movements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Role requires high school or GED, ability to work with respirators, and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Immigration sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders and perform bending, squatting, kneeling, and other physical activities.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work functions within production operations in a safe and efficient manner.
• Blend, react, package, and transfer finished chemical products while maintaining quality standards.
• Operate mechanical and electrical equipment including pumps, mixers, automation control systems, and packaging equipment.
• Perform forklift operations to move raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials throughout the facility.
• Complete production documentation including production tickets, goods receipts, inventory transactions, and shipping documentation.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and work areas while maintaining housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
• Comply with all plant safety initiatives, environmental requirements, and quality procedures.
• Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Work closely with Production Team Leads and cross-functional teams to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
