Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Operations role at the Sabine River Operations site in Orange, Texas. You will leverage operations knowledge to safely and reliably run plant areas, supporting the shift team and escalating issues as needed.

You will work with a team to maintain performance, safety and continuous improvement, while adhering to plant discipline and training requirements. This is a fulltime on-site role with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in an Operations role within a Chemical Manufacturing environment.
• Military experience with 3+ years can substitute for a degree.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and overtime including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follow operating discipline policies to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Operate process equipment by monitoring conditions and control systems.
• Serve on site Emergency Response Team and complete required training.
• Conduct effective shift relief and handoffs to incoming team.
• Mentor and train operations personnel in procedures and troubleshooting.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled operational tasks as needed.
• Respond to immediate/severe weather events as assigned.
