KIK Consumer Products in Westlake, Louisiana, seeks an on-site Production Shift Supervisor to lead a union workforce of 12–15 operators across wet and dry process areas. You’ll ensure safety, quality, on-time schedules, and cost control while coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Safety.

The role runs 12-hour shifts with rotating day/night schedules, trains, coaches, and disciplines staff as needed.

Formación

• 2+ years leading teams in manufacturing or industrial operations (chemical experience preferred).
• Union experience preferred.
• Proven track record of achieving safety and production goals.
• Lean/CI problem-solving know-how.
• Quick to learn plant systems; timekeeping/recordkeeping exposure is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise 12–15 operators to achieve plan safely and compliantly.
• Own shift execution: identify abnormal conditions, troubleshoot, and initiate corrective actions.
• Run the 12-hour production meeting; report performance, issues, and priorities.
• Set and reinforce expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.
• Align daily with the Production Manager on priorities, staffing, and trends.
• Enter work notifications in SAP; support MOC and incident investigations.
• Complete accurate timekeeping and production reporting (downtime, efficiencies, counts) per SOPs.
• Track efficiencies and rework; communicate trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Train, coach, and develop employees; apply discipline as needed in a union environment.
• Model EHS, GMP, and housekeeping best practices; be the on-site leader nights/weekends.

You’ll ensure everyone goes home safe, the schedule is met, quality is tight, and costs stay controlled—while coordinating seamlessly with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Safety.

Schedule & Training

• Rotating DuPont schedule with 12-hour day and night shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
• Built-in days off; alternating weeks of approximately 36 and 48 hours.
• 1–2 months of Monday–Friday day-shift training prior to rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years leading teams in manufacturing or industrial operations; chemical experience preferred.
• Union experience preferred.
• Record of achieving safety and production goals with strong accountability.
• Lean/CI problem-solving know-how.
• Microsoft Office and Smartsheet proficiency; SAP preferred; quick to learn plant systems. Timekeeping/recordkeeping exposure is a plus.
• Clear communicator who collaborates across functions and leadership levels.
• Safety-minded coach and mentor.
• Thrives in a 24/7 operation; responds with urgency and adaptability.
• Can wear respiratory PPE (including SCBA) during emergencies.
• Able to climb stairs up to approximately 80 feet.
• Ability to pass required physical and drug testing.
