Job summary

CAM Industrial Solutions seeks a Maintenance Planner to optimize the maintenance workflow in our chemical plant. You will collaborate with maintenance staff, engineers, and operations to prepare detailed job plans, estimates, and scheduling, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role requires planning expertise, SAP experience, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and 5 years of experience in a skilled trade.
• Experience as job planner or estimator.
• Experience in a chemical plant or heavy industry.
• Experience in planning in SAP.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Word, Excel, Project.
• Ability to read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively to craftsmen/operators, vendors/suppliers, other departmental staff, and management.
• Able to organize and plan jobs, and develop job cost estimates.
• Ability to learn and apply maintenance best practices.
• Highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed.
• Able to work effectively in a matrix team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Hexion standard maintenance work flow process.
• Interact with operation utilities in the screening of work notifications to ensure scope, equipment, priority, and completion dates are understood.
• Walk job areas to clarify scope and document field information for job plans.
• Plan out job steps and resources including labor, materials, services, tools, and drawings.
• Write work instructions where standard instructions do not exist and collaborate with discipline specialists.
• Coordinate with vendors to clarify scope and obtain quotes for materials and services.
• Maintain target dates for scheduling and ensure feasible timelines.
• Update internal customers on planning progress and obstacles.
• Maintain PM plans and update equipment BOMs for accurate parts lists.
• Assemble and issue job packages and drive continuous improvement of planning quality.
