Job summary

ICL Group in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to direct and supervise a multi-craft hourly maintenance team. You will oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and modifications to ensure safe operations of chemical processing equipment, piping, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities include planning work, coordinating with operations for safety, and guiding mechanics with technical support. Strong leadership and planning skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of practical maintenance supervision experience at industrial, utility, or manufacturing facility.
• Preferred: Associates degree in mechanical related program.
• Preferred: Previous supervisory experience in a chemical manufacturing organization in a union environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment along with managing multiple project/priorities/tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise multi-craft hourly maintenance team in repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Plan, delegate and control work assignments and special projects to direct reports.
• Execute timely daily maintenance plan by assigning manpower and tools to each job to minimize waste and overtime.
• Coordinate permitting with operations to ensure safety of all personnel.
• Provide technical and logistical support to mechanics for each job.
• Help establish and improve standard maintenance repair and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Request and/or recommend major repair parts, materials, equipment, and other resources for repairs and turnaround jobs.
• Communicate across levels to aid in department and site goals.
• Maintain staffing levels and vacation coverage; assess training needs for each individual.
• Lead safety, environmental, and quality investigations as assigned.
