Job summary

Cayman Chemical Company, headquartered in Ann Arbor, is seeking a Chemical Handling Specialist to weigh, aliquot, maintain inventory, and logProcessed inventory. You will ensure product quality, enter data into the ERP system, and keep the work area organized.

The role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), Excel skills, and the ability to work independently on-site in Ann Arbor with a commitment to Cayman’s core values.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to learn an ERP system.
• Ability to sit in one spot for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Currently, we are looking to add a Chemical Handling Specialist to the team:

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for weighing, aliquoting, maintaining inventory, and entering newly processed inventory


• Ensure quality control level of products according to Cayman’s standards


• Entry of necessary data into database system in a timely fashion
  
• General upkeep of the work area and maintenance of equipment


• Report status of work to supervisor regularly


• Maintain compliance with all company policies, plans, and procedures including safety, security, and regulatory


• Assist in other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred


• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability to learn an ERP system


• Ability to sit in one spot for long periods of time


• Ability to prioritize tasks, be organized, and pay attention to detail
