Innophos is seeking a direct hire Acid Plant Treater to work in our Nashville location. The Acid Plant Treater has the overall responsibility to maintain the safety, quality, and environmental effectiveness of the departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall efficient operation of the Acid Plant Treater position. This includesunderstanding and maintaining records for safety, quality, housekeeping, environmental compliance, & production output, etc.
- Monitors all area tank levels, operates and troubleshoots all equipment and instrumentation, adjusts and cleans equipment, and records data on appropriate logs and spreadsheets, as well as in JDE E1 system (our ERP system)
- Safely and efficiently unloads raw material railcars
- Packages phosphoric and polyphosphoric acid into railcars, bulk trucks, totes, & varying sizes of drums
- Moves pallets, containers, and equipment, throughout a restricted space, using a forklift
Shift
- Rotating Shift – 1stshift (6:30 am-2:30 pm), 2ndshift (2:30 pm-10:30 pm), 3rdshift (10:30 pm-6:30 am) Monday - Sunday
- Initially assigned to 1stshift for training
- Required to rotate between all 3 shifts – shift premium applied on 2ndand 3rdshifts
- Alternative work schedules may be required based on site business needs
- Eligible for overtime pay on hours worked that exceed 8/day, 8 consecutive and 40/week

- Valid Driver's License required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be available to work changing/rotating shifts and schedules
- Must be computer literate
- Must be capable of becoming a licensed lift truck operator
- Must be capable of accurately completing log sheets/reports, both paper and electronic, understanding written material, performing basic mathematics, and making appropriate transactions in E1
- Demonstrate knowledge of process flow description (PFD), key process control points, process description, round sheets and data sheets, analytical specifications and their control, all relevant job analyses, and appropriate troubleshooting
- Demonstration of the above knowledge includes written and oral testing and actual operation of equipment, to meet minimum standards of acceptability
- Must have a good attendance record
- Must have 3+ years of industrial chemical operator experience
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions
Environmental and/or Physical Requirements
- Daily climbing (of process area stairs) and operation of moving equipment (forklift)
- Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs
- Able to wear a respirator (must comply with facial hair policy)and other required personal protective equipment
Salary Range : 33.09 - 33.09 USD / hour
Salary Description : Wages start at $33.09/hour in accord with the labor contract
