Job description

Job Title: Chemical Operator

Sika is seeking an experienced Chemical Operator to join our growing team in the Dallas area for our Insulation business. The role involves:

1. Operating the pour table and mixing chemical batches according to formulation standards and production schedules.
2. Delivering formulated chemicals to the pour table at required temperatures and adjusting pump stroke length as necessary.
3. Maintaining production records, including gas consumption, laminator operation hours, and chemical usage.
4. Managing chemical inventory, including receiving shipments, performing weekly and monthly inventories, and recovering used chemicals.
5. Conducting quality control tests, such as density, K-factor, and thickness tests on production samples.
6. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for extended periods during 10-12 hour shifts.
• Capable of walking long distances within the manufacturing facility.
• Able to climb ladders and navigate staircases regularly.
• Proficient in operating equipment and controls using hands and arms.
• Capable of lifting and manipulating heavy objects, including 100 lb chemical hoses and 50 lb pails of liquids.
