Job summary

Kairos Power is offering Summer 2027 internship opportunities across the Salt Chemistry, Fuels, and Materials organizations. Interns will gain hands-on engineering experience by contributing to ongoing research, development, and process improvements in a collaborative environment.

You'll work with seasoned engineers and scientists on meaningful projects, developing skills in laboratory operations, data analysis, and technical communication while supporting Kairos Power's mission to deliver safe,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science/Engineering.
• Hands-on lab experience or internship preferred.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, AutoCAD, Python.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams on technical projects and research.
• Apply engineering principles in lab, manufacturing, and field environments.
• Assist with experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
• Support process design, development, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate notebooks and documentation for reproducibility.
• Present project objectives and results to peers and leaders.
