Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN, is seeking a Chemical Maintenance on 1st shift to handle chemicals on the shop floor. This hands-on role involves maintaining production tanks, operating a forklift, and following stringent safety procedures.
The position offers a starting pay of $35.00/hour plus opportunities for overtime, attendance rewards, profit sharing, and a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Applicants with hazardous waste or industrial chemical-handling experience or solid chemistry knowledge are
Qualificações
- Hazardous waste and industrial chemical-handling experience preferred.
- Chemistry knowledge or education provides safe chemical handling foundations.
- Ability to read and follow safety instructions and lab results.
Responsabilidades
- Make chemical additions to production tanks based on lab testing.
- Verify correct chemical, tank, and quantity before additions.
- Operate a forklift to move chemical drums and supplies.
- Follow chemical-handling, storage, labeling, and waste-handling procedures.
- Read and follow work instructions and Safety Data Sheets.
- Complete required records accurately.
- Keep storage and work areas clean and organized.
- Communicate with lab and production teams about maintenance needs.
- Ask guidance when unclear.
