Job summary

The Lindgren Group's Avtec Finishing facility in New Hope MN is seeking an experienced Industrial / Production Maintenance Technician for 1st shift. This hands-on role troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production equipment, pumps, motors, valves, and plastics piping to keep metal-finishing processes running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventive maintenance, HVAC tasks, and basic plumbing, read equipment manuals, and document work.

Qualifications

• Industrial, manufacturing, processing or production maintenance experience is required.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production machinery and equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting pumps, motors, valves, and mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with process piping; PVC/CPVC or other plastic piping experience is strongly preferred.
• Preventive maintenance experience.
• HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Ability to work safely around machinery, production equipment, and chemical-processing systems.
• Ability to work independently while supporting maintenance and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production machinery and equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, motors, valves, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain plastic process piping used to move chemicals throughout production.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and systems.
• Read and follow equipment manuals and work orders.
• Maintain tools and work areas in an organized manner.
• Follow required safety procedures around machinery, piping, chemicals, and production systems.
• Assist with other maintenance projects as needed.
