Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Chemical Line Helper to assist in immersing aerospace parts into tanks and to support the Chemical Line Operator. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform routine duties including cleaning, racking, and following production instructions, with opportunities for overtime. ITAR compliance and U.S. work authorization are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chemical Line Operator in immersing aerospace parts into tanks
• Maintain safety, quality, and attendance standards on the shop floor
• Clean and rack parts, perform light housekeeping and 6S activities
• Understand and follow applicable procedures and work instructions
• Report discrepancies to the production supervisor and keep equipment in good working order
• Work overtime or weekends as needed and communicate effectively with team

FUNCTION:

The Chemical Line Helper will assist the Chemical Line Operator in order to immerse aerospace parts into applicable tanks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES:

• Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company's commitment to QUALITY and SAFETY!
• Assist Crane operate crane while adhering to safety regulations and wear nonnegotiable PPE such as hard-hat, safety shoes, gloves and safety glasses at all times
• Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling materials
• Assists in cleaning and racking of parts by using wire to tie to the line
• Chromate Conversion Coating
• Cleaning and Etching Aluminum and Titanium
• Passivation
• Understanding and proper use of applicable procedures, specifications, work instructions, etc.
• Ensuring all equipment and materials are maintained in good working order and reporting any discrepancies to the production supervisor.
• Meets all production and quality standards
• Work in team environment and follow instructions and assist others as needed
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to shift-times or a pre-arranged work schedule
• Perform daily housekeeping daily/6S activities as required
• Work OT and weekends as needed
• Will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, odors, and temperature variations
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Note: This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.00 to $21.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
