Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. seeks an experienced production-support professional to ensure operators have the tools and information to meet production requirements and to monitor work orders for on-time shipping.

The role includes quality verifications, scheduling assistance, minor troubleshooting, operator training, EH&S compliance, MSDS reading, and scrap control. Pay ranges from $24.00 to $28.00 USD per hour, plus bonus eligibility and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing/production environments.
• Proficient with basic computer software and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and monitors production to meet quality standards and perform verifications.
• Assist in scheduling work orders and coordinate with engineers, Quality, and Planners.
• Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
• Operates production machinery when needed due to staffing or scheduling.
• Assist in training and development of operators.
• Comply with environmental safety practices and regulations.
• Conduct EH&S self-inspections and safety huddles.
• Read MSDS and manage oil/chemical labeling and storage requirements.
• Handle scrap collection and disposal in Focused Factory.

Job description

Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, ensures that machine operators have all the tools and information necessary to meet production requirements. Monitors work orders to ensure they make it through the production cycle in time to meet
shipping requirements.

Position Accountabilities:

• Oversees and monitors production to ensure quality standards are met, and performs verifications and inspections of products and machines.
• Assists in scheduling work orders for production and interfaces with engineers, the Quality department, and Planners, to ensure the timely production and shipment of products.
• May perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
• May operate production machinery when there are personnel shortages or changes in scheduling.
• Assists in the training and development of operators.
• Complies with all environmentally safe practices and regulations.
• Conducts EH&S self-inspection and safety huddles in areas of responsibility.
• Reads all MSDS’ and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Ensures that scrap collection in their Focused Factory is being properly controlled and disposed.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $24.00 to $28.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors.

• For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter.
• Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year.
• Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
• Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
• Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
