What this job involves: The Chemical Lab Technician manages and fulfills chemical and biological media orders in their entirety, including calculations, documentation, autoclaving, labeling, and delivery of sensitive formulations critical to experiments conducted by the research staff.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Fulfill buffer/media/solvent orders
  • Request waste removal
  • Maintain and reorder supply inventory
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding stock, material needs, and scheduling
  • Comply with regulations and maintain good documentation
  • Assist in streamlining and optimizing workflows
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of activities and results
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Work in laboratory areas using established safety and technical procedures
  • Maintain strict attention to safety and quality
  • Assist in other Lab Services operations as directed or needed

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in life science, biology, or chemistry
  • Prior experience with a CMMS
  • Experience with work order and inventory tracking systems (Maximo, SAP, etc.)

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a clinical, research, or lab setting
  • Experience working with general lab equipment, inventory management, and media preparation
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work with management and employees at all levels, including customers
  • Clear communication with colleagues and customers, understanding their goals and work priorities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and organize time
  • Team player committed to customer service and working in a quality environment
  • Adequate skills to perform required job functions with minimal supervision

Estimated total compensation for this position:

48,633.00 – 52,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
