Job summary

Materion is seeking a Laboratory Technician to analyze, test, and inspect materials, ensuring specifications are met. You will perform daily production and R&D lab tasks, chemical analysis, sample preparation, and data entry, while assisting in various laboratory functions and minor equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• College coursework in mathematics, chemistry, material science, or engineering is helpful.
• Experience with chemical analysis and safe chemical handling is a plus but not required.
• Exposure to ISO 17025 Quality System is helpful.
• Must be computer literate with Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory functions for daily production and R&D tasks.
• Performs chemical analysis and sample preparation as needed.
• Performs minor equipment preventative maintenance.
• Provides process analysis in a group laboratory environment.
• Performs data entry of analysis results and maintains testing databases.
