The Laboratory Coordinator I provides broad support to the lab encompassing both Analytical and Quality functions while bridging with Operations. This includes accurate and timely data reporting, sample prioritization, and sample preparation to support daily production and shipping targets. The Laboratory Coordinator I reports directly to the Quality Director.
Education and/or Experience: High school completion required, with preference given to candidates that have additional education, experience with analytical chemistry, or experience in laboratory environments. Good pre-existing computer skills are a requirement, including the Microsoft Office suite, as well as the ability to learn and apply skills to new software packages.
Language Skills: Excellent oral and written skills in English are required to communicate with customers, internal & external engineering and senior management.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to solve basic mathematical equations.
Reasoning Ability: Sound decision-making skills are required. Ability to take decisive action based on limited input and determine when supervisory input is required.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, use hands, lift up to 45 pounds, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Close vision required.
Work Environment: Potential exposure to low concentrations of fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals within regulatory limits. Noise level usually low.
Export Compliance: Candidates must be eligible for export compliance to access U.S. controlled technology under ITAR and EAR regulations, including U.S. citizenship or legal status as specified.
$23.76 - $29.35 per hour. Actual base salary offered varies based on factors such as skill, experience, education, peer base salary and geographic location.
