Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Chemical Handler - Trainee in Sunnyvale, CA to perform chemical additions, new make-ups, and maintenance for tanks and conveyor equipment as directed by the Chemical Laboratory and procedures.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to regulations, and ability to work in a controlled environment with PPE. Training will be provided to perform chemical analysis and operate related equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to be trained on chemical analysis.
• Basic understanding of the metric system for weights and measurements.
• Ability to wear PPE (gloves, glasses, face shields, aprons, boots).
• Must not be allergic to common forms of rubber and plastic.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.
• Ability to move drums of chemicals using proper equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain product quality.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new skills as required.
• Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Make chemical additions.
• Make new bath make-up and chemical maintenance.
• Communicate with supervisor and managers about tank downtime.
• Report and focus on hazardous chemical handling per safety rules.
• Follow internal safety policies and external regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
