Job summary

The successful candidate will assist with report preparation, project administration, and developing process engineering deliverables, while gaining hands-on field learning and site visits when required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist project delivery team with reports, documentation, and research.
• Develop process engineering deliverables such as PFDs and mass balances as needed.
• Prepare technical project reports and assist with proposals.
• Support site visits and field learning activities when required.
• Attend project meetings and help with meeting minutes.

Stantec's Houston, TXoffice has an opportunity for a Chemical Engineering Intern to join their Water practice. Stantec’s Industrial Water team is a dynamic team of experts working across a wide range of industries including power, datacenters, semiconductors, energy, mining, etc.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a strong interest in water, especially industrial water, and a desire to build a future career in this field


• Assist the local project delivery team with report and documentation preparation, project administration, and research assistance


• Develop process engineering deliverables including BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, vendor coordination, etc.


• Prepare technical project reports


• Assist with proposal development efforts


• Assist with resolving RFIs and submittals


• Be willing to visit project sites, participate in hands-on field learning, and support commissioning activities, if required


• Be willing to support a variety of projects across different industries, including semiconductors, datacenters, energy, mining, and more


• Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes


• Other duties as assigned
