Job summary

Storion Energy seeks a Chemical Engineering Co‑op to join our product development team in Billerica, MA. This in-person role runs January through July 2027, with a 5‑day in-office schedule and compensation of $25 per hour.

You will assist electrochemistry development, work with lab and shop equipment, and support data analysis, process design, and documentation under senior engineers. This is an on-site opportunity for aspiring engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Chemical Engineering or BA/BS in Chemistry.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must have housing and transportation to Billerica, MA location.
• Willingness to work with battery electrolyte; PPE required.
• Able to lift 30-pound boxes; second/third co-op preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support product development in electrochemistry.
• Perform hands-on testing in the lab and shop floor.
• Operate scale, sub-scale, and full-scale equipment.
• Collect, process, and analyze data.
• Design, control, and operate chemical processes.
• Kinetics determination and modeling.
• Specify unit operation equipment and design.
• Document processes and apply SPC methods.
• Develop test methods and diagnose root causes.
• Test material compatibility.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
