Synthomer plc invites highly motivated Chemical Engineering students to join the Jefferson Hills co-op program starting Spring 2025. You will work on a variety of assignments spanning process chemistry, process improvement, reliability, capital projects, and safety, collaborating with engineers, craftsmen and operators to advance projects and gain industry knowledge.
This co-op offers real-life experience in a large chemical facility and is a pathway to potential full-time opportunities after
Qualifications
- Pursuing undergrad degree in Chemical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- GPA > 3.0 prioritized.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to process chemistry and optimization of continuous or batch reactions.
- Engage in process improvement, bottleneck elimination, cost reduction and yield improvement.
- Support reliability efforts to reduce downtime and address issues with multiple disciplines.
- Assist capital projects across several engineering disciplines and manage safety-related tasks.
- Present work at the end of each work session and explore potential full-time opportunities after graduation.
