Synthomer Jefferson Hills is offering a co-op opportunity for Chemical Engineering students starting in Spring 2025. You will engage in projects across process chemistry, process improvement, reliability, and safety within a large chemical facility, collaborating with engineers, craftsmen, and operators.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, and maintaining GPA above 3.0.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Interested in working in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• GPA > 3.0 preferred

Responsibilities

• Expose student to process chemistry, process improvement, reliability, capital projects, and safety.
• Work with engineers, craftsmen, and operators on projects.
• Assist in optimization of continuous or batch reactions and downtime reduction.
• Support safety initiatives and adherence to process safety standards.
• Contribute to projects across multiple co-op terms
