Job summary

OxyChem in the United States is seeking entry-level Chemical Engineers for the Process Engineer (College Hire) program across multiple U.S. locations. You will contribute to process improvements, safety, and operational reliability while starting your career with hands-on training and mentorship.

Candidates are pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a minimum 2.85 GPA and a graduation window of Dec 2027–May 2029; relocation is required at times.

We are committed to rewarding top performers, offering very competitive pay and benefits, and providing tremendous career development opportunities. **Description**OxyChem is looking for entry-level individuals pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering to fill the position of Process Engineer (College Hire).* Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products as our highest priority.* Identify, evaluate, develop, specify, justify, install, and start-up process improvements to increase production capacity, improve operating reliability, reduce manufacturing costs, reduce energy usage, conserve raw materials, improve product yields and improve product quality.* Participate in any opportunity to enhance safety, upgrade environmental safeguards, and provide for the overall optimization of process operation.* Provide ongoing engineering assistance to operations including troubleshooting of process operating problems, conducting special tests, developing reports, providing technical assistance as required and reporting of production status.* Prepare AFE’s for ‘plant scale’ capital projects and follow these projects to a successful completion.* Represent and/or assist production and engineering in matters of evaluation, selection and coordination and control of vendors supplying necessary operating services, consulting services, materials, equipment and other needs of operation. **Qualifications*** Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering* Must have a graduation date of December 2027 – May 2029* Must maintain minimum cumulative 2.85 GPA on a 4.0 scale* Must be willing to relocate**Location*** Various locations throughout the United States**Benefits*** Competitive salary* Relocation Assistance and/or fully furnished Corporate Housing provided, if applicable* 9/80 Work Schedule.
