Job summary

Stepan Company in Winder, GA seeks a Chemical Operator- Drum Out to join our Production team. You will report to the Production Supervisor and ensure quality Stepan finished goods are packed in non-bulk packaging meeting Federal regulations and company guidelines.

This is an hourly role essential to daily plant operations. You will operate drumming lines, set up labels, and handle containers while maintaining safety and efficiency on a rotating 12-hour schedule, including nights, weekends, and

Qualifications

• 0-1+ years of chemical manufacturing and/or distribution experience.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Filling containers based on scheduled Drum Make Orders, current Bill of Materials, Federal regulations and Stepan guidelines by hand or using the drumming machine, cross trained to Warehouse duties.
• Setting up for drumming: printing and installing labels on proper containers, sampling tanks, installing closures, unloading drums and staging in warehouse.
• Operating forklifts, Ottawa spotters, floor sweepers and portable scales.
• Washing vessel, piping and tank trucks and doing general clean-up, writing safety or standard work requests for faulty equipment.
• Moving empty dry van trailers and spotting full trailers for orders, and positioning Drum Tank Trucks for bulk material.
